Eggcentric is a limited edition gin released each year for Easter with a luxurious array of the finest quality ingredients to deliver notes of dark chocolate.
The name Eggcentric is a play on words: a nod to the great British qualities of eccentricity and humour and to the tradition, which began in 1873, of gifting chocolate eggs at celebratory occasions such as Easter.
We produce Eggcentric using a traditional method of cold-compounding. As a result, nothing is distilled away and the spirit retains the full intense botanical flavour and aroma. This also lends Eggcentric a beautiful amber hue and full-bodied mouthfeel.
We infuse a luxurious array of the finest quality ingredients to create Eggcentric. Peruvian Criollo cacao nibs bring rich, dark chocolate notes. Carob pods and liquorice root add sweetness. Cassia adds a touch of delicate warmth. The finest whole Madagascan Bourbon vanilla pods are finely cut to bring a creaminess. Black garlic cuts through the sweetness to create balance and body. This results in a deliciously decadent dark chocolate gin which is perfect for sharing at all celebratory occasions. We have no need to use flavourings to create our chocolate gin, when such fantastic ingredients are at hand.
Signature serve: Eggspresso Martini – 45ml Eggcentric Gin, 30ml freshly brewed espresso coffee, 20ml coffee liqueur. Shake all ingredients with ice and finely strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with three coffee beans.
G&T perfect serve: Fever-Tree Clementine Tonic with orange peel to garnish.
For the more adventurous: Gin Hot Chocolate – 50ml Eggcentric Gin, hot chocolate (with milk), cream (optional). Pour the Eggcentric Gin into a mug and fill with warm hot chocolate. Top with cream and garnish with grated orange zest.
