Autumn seasonal expression
Falling Leaves is the Autumn seasonal expression in the Tappers range. Produced in small batches when the trees burst into Autumn colour and every leaf is a flower, until the days shorten and Winter’s chill sets in, Falling Leaves is a warm, gently spiced, gin.
Falling Leaves is independently produced in small batches entirely by hand from start to finish in the seaside town of West Kirby, Wirral. The resulting tipple – like all compounded gin – has a natural hue from the infused juniper berries and bilberries. Each 50cl bottle is individually filled, labelled and wax sealed by hand.
Falling Leaves brings together a hedgerow harvest of bilberries, blackberry leaves, rose hips, elderberries, ground ivy and fennel for an authentic autumnal taste to ward off the crisp nights. Lightly spiced notes on the nose with warmth developing on the palate, and a delicate sweet lingering finish.
Signature serve: Golden Carpet – 1 oz. Falling Leaves Gin, 1 oz. fresh grapefruit juice and 1 oz. fresh orange juice (or 2 oz. fresh bergamot juice), 1/2 oz. simple syrup, 2 tsp. pear jam, 1/4″ peeled & grated ginger, 1 egg white. Garnish with edible gold.
Falling Leaves G&T perfect serve: Fever-Tree Aromatic Tonic Water and blackberries to garnish.
There are nine botanicals in Falling Leaves Gin including a seasonal selection of bilberries, blackcurrant leaves, rose hips, elderberries ground ivy and fennel which combine to create a lightly spiced gin to ward off the colder nights.
