Winter seasonal expression
Wintergreen is the Winter seasonal expression in the Tappers range. Inspired by the British Wintertide and produced in small batches only during the colder months of the year, the name Wintergreen comes from a group of aromatic plants whose leaves remain ‘ever green’ throughout the Winter period.
Wintergreen is independently produced in small batches entirely by hand from start to finish in the seaside town of West Kirby, Wirral. The resulting tipple – like all compounded gin – has a natural amber-hue from the infused juniper berries. Each bottle is individually filled, labelled and wax sealed by hand.
Wintergreen brings together spruce needles, birch bark, cassia bark and meadowsweet with five other valuable ingredients for a crisp taste of Wintertide. Bright, high notes give way to a smooth and dry finish.
Signature serve: “Baby it’s Cranberry Outside” – Wintergreen Gin, cranberry and bitter infused sugar, topped with Charles Heidsieck champagne and garnished with pine needles.
Wintergreen G&T serve: Fever-Tree Aromatic Tonic Water with blueberries to garnish.
There are eight botanicals in Wintergreen Gin including a seasonal selection of spruce needles (for a fitting aroma of Winter), birch bark (for sweet undertones), cassia bark (for warmth) and meadowsweet (for crisp overtones). These combine to create an aromatic gin with a crisp, festive taste of Wintertide.
